Risa Grand, M.D is a Harvard, Yale, UCLA & USC trained forensic psychiatrist. In 2020, she created Grand Educational Foundation to promote mental health awareness. In 2022, Dr. Grand created a standardized communication tool to support DV survivors and support law enforcement officers at the time of reporting incidents

Instagram and social media based traffic is the goal of this program, to raise awareness about Traumatic Brain Injury prevention. Proper helmet fitting, the importance of putting the helmet on in the first place, and not worrying about aesthetics or messy hair i.e. helmet head among scooter riders and skateboarders are goals of this project, created by Grand Ed Kids founding members ages 13 and under.
Domestic Violence prevention and awareness, information about how to support friends in challenging relationships, and linking mental health professionals with victims in need of lower-cost support are the main tenants of this Grand Ed Program.
Early financing grew from a domestic violence restitution award, this project was the initial inspiration for the Grand Educational Foundation.
